Job Summery

  The Human Resources (HR) Assistant works with the HR Officer and HR Manager to develop and implement policies that help the company effectively utilize its personnel.   The role involves ensuring the company has the right mix of skilled staff and providing employees with training and development opportunities to improve performance and achieve business goals.


Duties Responsibilities

Protects the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information; Assists with the review of applications to ensure that candidates meet eligibility criteria, including, requirements stated in the job openings; Initiates and follows up on reference checks, in respect of academic verifications and employment records, ensuring the completion of the pre-recruitment formalities; Assists with both internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department; Prepares and submits monthly HR payroll reports and monitors staff performance and attendance; Reviews and maintains time and attendance records of staff, processing leave requests, liaising with departments and staff in cases of discrepancies; Develops job advertisements for open positions, screens applications, shortlists candidates, conducts interviews, and selects successful applicants; Manages the hiring cycle for any vacant position, ensuring all necessary steps and documentation are completed; Ensures accurate job descriptions are in place, organizes and attends interviews for new recruits; Assists with inductions and administrative arrangements for newly recruited staff; Explains and applies company HR policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and job applicants; Maintains up-to-date and accurate employee records and filing systems; Conducts quarterly performance evaluations to identify opportunities for employee promotion; Arrange meetings to develop employees' personality and managerial skills; Performs other duties as required;


Job Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field; Coursework/training in human resources is highly desirable; A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, administrative services, or related areas is required; Experience in a business environment is desirable, including administration of a broad range of entitlements and benefits; Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, and to monitor/assess the performance of other individuals; Good interpersonal relations with proven communication skills, both verbal and written; Computer literacy and familiarity with the human resources information system; Sound judgments and decision-making skills; Staff training, development, and recognition; Stress management skills, interviewing skills, time management skills;
